Bus Service Contract

  • In exchange for bus service for my child between the LaVista and Emory campuses, I promise to pay Arbor the fee of $93 per month from September to May. Payments are due on the 1st day of each month. I understand that under no circumstances will my payment be refunded. If I decide to discontinue service, I must give Arbor at least 30 days’ prior notice. If my child is sick, or for any other reason unable to ride the bus, I understand that the entire monthly installment is still due and payable. (Note: When space is available, drop-in riders are welcome for a fee of $10 - no contract required.)

    I agree to the following policies and procedures:

    • The bus will leave the LaVista campus at 3:00 p.m. and arrive at Emory as soon as traffic permits. I will pick up my child by 3:20 p.m. If I have not picked up my Elementary child by that time, he/she will be returned to the LaVista Enrichment Program and an attempt will be made to contact me and my emergency pickups. If this should happen, I agree to pay the $26 emergency Enrichment fee.
    • I, and persons authorized on my pickup list, understand that Arbor will not permit my child to enter or leave the bus without being escorted by an adult.

    • Payment is due the 1st day of the month and is considered late on the 5th day. A late charge of $25 shall be due and payable on any payment received after the 5th of the month.

    • I will notify the office and the classroom teacher when my child will not be riding the bus.
    • Spaces on the bus will be assigned by lottery (if necessary) with these guidelines:
      1. Staff contracts will receive priority.
      2. Families will receive one lottery slip that will cover all children in their family.
      3. The lottery will also determine the waitlist.

    To be included in the lottery, please complete this Bus Service Contract by 3:30 p.m. on Friday, May 22. You will be contacted with the lottery results by Friday, May 29.

    I authorize Arbor Montessori School to transport my child between the LaVista and Emory campuses according to the selection below:
